This gaming laptop uses the latest Intel I7 second generation processor— Ivy bridge —which will definitely meet the demands of the game especially the loading time.

What I like about this gaming laptop is that, Samsung installed an AMD Radeon HD6970M 2gb DDR5 video-card compared to Nvidia — which is not my choice in terms of graphic card. Another one that I like about this laptop is that it is equipped with a one terrabyte of hard-drive — you can install games that has a requirement of a gig, a turbo cooling system which will perform better, and my most favorite would be the backlit keyboard for those gamers who want their gaming experience to be in the dark.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 - Now in the Philippines

Intro of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 - Arcade Version

Finally Tekken Tag Tournament 2 arrived in the Philippines, I received a message from my brother that the Tekken Tag 2 machine already arrived in the Philippines and spotted in Glorietta 4, that is in Makati. He said, when he was there, most of the gamers are foreigners playing the game — maybe they are doing a "break-in" on the machine.

I was lucky that time that there is someone playing Zafina— my main character in Tekken 6 and Tekken 6 Blood Rebellion. Got information from the player on that area that my character has only one new move. At the same time, his opponent uses a Lars and Jun Kazama — Jin's mother and returned in the game which is good news.

If you are a Jun Kazama user in Tekken Tag Tournament 1 and Tekken 2, you will have a hard time mastering her new moves — for a while; yup, Jun Kazama has a new set of moves, you going to observe, or going to use this one, it has a mix of Lars and his son Jin Kazama moves — Geez, no more infinite?

Another new character was also at the game; her name is Jaycee — calling cosplayers out there, maybe you can cosplay this one. Jaycee, when you saw her, she is like the female version of Rey Mysterio from WWE show; but, her moves are very apparent from Julia/Michelle Chang and Armor King.

Daytona USA will be launched on XBOX-360 and Playstation-3

One of the famous game by SEGA to offer in Arcade platform is Daytona USA; here in Asia, Timezone, my sources said that, Daytona USA, either one or two, is one of their strong income earner in their daily operation. Eventhough it is old already they will not dispose or pull out on their establishment.

The game is very simple eventhough it has a choppy graphics, the game factor is there, battle with your friends of four; this would be a best example of a arcade version of a casual game, no hardcore or long time of practicing needed in order to break the time or master the rules.

Now, Sega will revive again this game to XBOX-360 and Playstation-3. There is no upgrade in terms of the graphics, but, the fun part of this is that they will offer this game in online multiplayer on 8-player mode; and one thing that I was suprise is that it will come with karaoke mode.

The game will be a downloadable content for Xbox Live Arcade on October 26 and Playstation Network on October 25. For only only $9.99 or 800 Microsoft points, depends on the console or platform.

I suggest if you want to see cute girls dancing on this machine, go around lunch time, weekends; and the videoke, the usual coin-op, and ticket-games.

When I was active in Initial D game this would be one of my training ground. Until now they still have the cabinet of this game. I am quite dissapointed because through the years the said establishment did release any new game on their branches.

Other games like Marvel vs. Capcom 2 by Capcom; Tekken Tag Tournament, Time Crisis 2, and Time Crisis 4 by Namco; House Of the Dead by Sega; School Rumble by Capcom; and videoke, I think they more focus on this one. They also offer promos on their tokens.

Overall if you want to have fun and to kill time these establishment is worth the visit.

Street Fighter X Tekken: New Game Options and Feature

After watching the video, I am getting more excited because Rolento is included in the game. My main character in Street Alpha 2 or Street Fighter Zero 2. Right now I am eyeing for the character that was included in the game, Poison, she is so sexy and voluptrous.

Based on the videos, one of the moves of Poison is kinda similar to Terry Bogart from Fatal Fury.

Namco and Capcom introduce a new game option that will excite more especially Tekken and Street Fighter players. The said options are the dual mode, tag battle and practice mode; and scramble match. The dual mode is a new feature of the game that both player can work together to beat the opponent, whether it is a computer or other players, offline or online; you can maxmize the ability to gain victory. The scramble match, well a new mode on the game; it is like a dual mode but the other player will also have a dual mode feature; it is like a Royal Rumble or Lumberjack match in WWE shows. Well, im my opnion this feature is old already; if you remember Street Fighter Alpha 3, there is also an option like this where you can choose a dual mode, but in a selected stage and the opponent is only a computer.

The newest feature of the game is the Pandora, which you can boost your power and increase the damage on your opponent at a cost of your fellow character. It is like a raging demon, ability used by Akuma/Gouki in Street Fighter, or rage mode, a feature in Tekken 6 up to present. Besides you need to sacrifice one of your character, you will need also to have a required level to execute this move. Online modes will come as a standard in these game.

Wangan Maximum Tune: My wangan maximum tune cars

Since I saw the graphics of the first version of Wangan Maximum Tune, I said to myself that this game will be a hit in the future besides Initial D Arcade Stage. There is also a time, that if you come across video game forums you will see an Initial D vs. Wangan Maximum Tune thread. The first car that I use and still using it until now is a Mitsubishi GTO. After that I try to use and tune other cars besides my Mitsubishi GTO. The game was very successful that it gain more arcade-gamers to play Wangan Maximum Tune. When Initial-D lost to Wangan Maximum Tune franchise when they release their fourth version, because of the glitched and the weird physique of the game, players from switched to Wangan Maximum Tune because it is more fun and after that the arcade world becomes different. Right now, we are waiting for the fourth release from Namco.

After that serious racing on Gran Turismo 5, Forza 3, Wangan Maximum Tune 3dx+, Battle Gear 4 tuned, or Initial D. You need to take a break a little bit. But still, you have that crave for cars, you want to play a car game but you want to be relax, just sitting on couch and doing nothing. Cartown will be the perfect game, you will just build your garage and earn money with just a click of a mouse. In all online car game, this would be the most relaxing game that was ever release.

Last month I already show you my garage and I am quite satisfied with my setup because it produces money and lessen the time on leveling up my account. When I discovered that there is three floors on the game, I tell myself that, if I add one floor it will make more money in cartown. So what I did is I purchase the third-floor but this time I want to try other functional items on the game but still produces the same amount that my present functional item in my garage; producing 125 gold and takes only three-hours on it. Tried everything but kiddie-ride-pony only matched the productivity of kiddie-car-ride; the only difference is that kiddie-pony-ride just cost 5,000 gold compare to kiddie-car-ride which is 10,000 gold, but still produces 125 gold at three hours. Another advantage of using a kiddie-pony-ride is that this item is small that it will consume two blocks compared to the kiddie-car-ride I think four blocks. For just ten hours playing this game using the setup that I implemented you will produce 1,000,000 gold, buy high producing xp cars, sell the cars, and use the remaining gold to buy another high xp producing cars. Playing Gran Turismo 5 for long hours on our Playstation 3 will sometimes gets me bored especially the endurance race. I feel everytime that same interface will burn you out and want to try something different beside Gran Turismo 5 and your Playstation 3. Since I started to play this, I am always in a hurry to boost my level. Started June last year just to try it out, and the rest is history. I'm always looking for techniques on how to boost my gold and my level since the maximum level for the cartown game is 150. I was struggling on levels 30-50 because I was contented on the vending machine which is producing 50 golds every 30 minutes I think.

And when I tried the carride which produces 125 for every three-hours, I am already hooked with this machine. It produces around 40,000+ per three-hours; happy with the result, but then when CIE the game developer of this game cartown introduces additional floors.

Im on the move to again gather funds and buy more car ride in order to maximize the earnings of my cartown account.I'm very satisfied right now with the system that I am implementing with my cartown account. It doubled the earnings.

We thought what game we will play this previous two weeks; we already finished playing Alice. Walking along the walkway in our place to find new released games that we are going to play. My brother already have a title that we want to play and that would be the Shadows of the Damned. Saw the game and this would be one HELL of a game; a very disturbing game. The that we have tried was on the Sony Playstation 3: a console game.

The game the started when the hero's girlfriend was kidnapped by the demons of the underworld. He went to the underworld to save him.

With the help of Johnson the glowing skull; where in the world thid glowing skull comes from. At the end of the you will discover that his girlfriend was the demon's mistress; what a game.

The game was the one developed games like Resident Evil Four and Devil May Cry franchise, so expect a hack and slash gameplay once you have this title, and published by Electronic Arts which also brought to you games like Alice Madness Return, Need For Speed franchise, and Dante's Inferno. Using an Unreal engine; from the first person shooter game Unreal Tournament, you will experience a fast pacing gameplay through out the game. A noticeable physique you will experience is like your playing the Resident Evil Four on the Playstation Two console.

One thing that you will expect from this game is the profanity words, violent, and some frontal scene. A responsive control to the character is one plus of the game. The thing that we did not like is the ability to skip cut scenes; you die in the game, and the only thing you will do is going to restart the last checkpoint whatever cinematic showed before. Unlike other game titles in the market you will just press the start button on your controller. When we are playing this game we observed that there is some glitches on the game; demon merchant notice once you made your purchase and that Garcia will give him a white gem there will some instances that the demon would devour his hand but not really.

The images and the graphics of the game is very similar to the Resident Evil franchise which was released by Capcom. The creepy experience of the game is the one that this game has to offer; the same gaming experience from the other games released by Electronic Arts like Dante's Inferno.

Overall, the game is just fine; not bad and not so good. If you are into hack and slash games then this game will fulfill your gaming needs. The game is worth a try and if you already finished the game you can trade it for a new one.

When Initial D version three was developed by SEGA and still a hit I used to go to Timezone Megamall to practice my "driving skills" to called myself as a good racer at the same time in the game called Wangan Maximum Tune developed by Namco. The amount or load that you need to play those game was so cheap that you can play all day to enhance your skills to those racing games. Timezone Megamall also the one you will go to whenever those two frachises released their latest games and their other branch in Makati that Timezone Glorietta four.

Last saturday I visited again that arcade place in Mandaluyong city to take a glimpse of 2011 Gundam Model Kit Contest because on of my friend has an entry on it. After I visited the exhibit I went to Timezone just to update myself with their latest release that offers to gamers and customers.

The first that I went to is the cabinet from the Initial D franchise. I was suprised that they already replace the Initial D version five to Initial D version six AA; well it is a good thing because the last time that Timezone Philippines has an Initial D version six AA franchise is only Timezone in Robinson's Place in Ermita Manila and in Trinoma in Quezon city.

I was also happy that time because my friend and the same time my leader in my team that would be Team Manila Racing Society was there playing the game. My friend is using a Toyota MRs; a car built by Toyota Motors that has a mid-engine and rear wheel drive layout. In the world of Initial D this car is a well rounded car. To give you an idea about this. In the game there is a certain cars that excel in every stage. For example in version three the car that you need in Happohagara is a Honda civic either an eg six; an old Honda civic hatchback, or a Honda civic ek nine; the newer model of Honda civic. What I am saying is if you want a good time points and a strong car; you need to used this car to win. It is still applicable to their latest release. The car that my friend is using is strong in the stage called Irohazaka; a place in Japan.

So I passed my friend because he was so busy playing. The next stop to the place is the franchise of Namco Japan; their hit game Wangan Maximum Tune DX plus.

This is also the game that I was very addicted to. I think I had a hundred cards all in all discarded cards by the way is not yet included. The ambience is still the same nothing new about it; I am waiting for Namco to release their latest title and that would be Maximum Tune four.

New cars has already shown in youtube; I will just post it here anyway. The game still brings customer to Timezone here in SM Megamall. I turned my back and saw the new game which Timezone Philippines offers to gamers.

That is Dead Heat produced by Namco USA. I was so amazed because the cabinet was so fancy; neon light and vibrant color posters. But when I looked to the gameplay its like your playing a Fast and the Furious game matched with Wangan Maximum Tune. From a point of view of a hardcore gamer from the racing game it would be a complete mess or suck. But the game targets the casual gamers or the casual pinoy gamers or casual filipino gamers. Tried this game and I find it fun for the filipino casual gamers. Other games like tekken six bloodline rebellion and rockband is still brings new customers at the place.

At the end of the day I find happy that Timezone in SM Megamall is still updating new arcade games. For gamers Timezone SM Megamall is a haven.

Evidently, the jobs provided by the games industry have given Mayor Tom Menino a change of heart.

Although supportive in recent years of legislation that would have restricted videogames sales in Boston, Mayor Tom Menino (D) has made an about-face, and is now trying to spur the games industry in his city with a new campaign to entice developers around the country (via GamePolitics).

Central to the campaign is the launch of a new website, PoweringUpBoston.com, which serves as a hub for Boston-area developers where they can see news, job postings, and find other relevant resources. Menino himself gave a speech at the headquarters of one local developer, FableVision, where he noted the strength of the Boston development community (which includes 2K Boston, Harmonix, Turbine, and 73 other firms that all provide a total of 1,500 jobs), and went so far as to declare Boston a "game industry friendly city."

The irony here is that Menino has often been an opponent of the games industry. In 2007 and 2008, he supported legislation that would have reclassified violent videogames as "harmful to minors" in the same sense as pornography. Menino defended the bill at the time in a radio interview, saying, "[You] gotta do something about banning the violence that young people are accustomed to today. And it's a tough battle because they say, it's a First Amendment [issue]. But we also have... rights in America to have safe neighborhoods, safe streets, and [a] safe world."

Furthermore, in 2006, Menino also led a campaign to have advertisements for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories removed from Boston subway cars, similarly charging that the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority was allowing the ads by "hiding behind the First Amendment."

And now, to reiterate, he's declaring Boston a "friendly city" to an industry that provides it with 1,500 jobs. Interesting what a global recession can do to a politician's beliefs.

February is the Month of Love, and we invite all Founders to celebrate the joy and love of Valentine's Day in Hello Kitty Online! From February 12-17, 2009, HKO will host Happy Hearts, an exclusive Founders-only event in which players can get together once more with their friends, take on exciting new quests, and be first to experience some major enhancements to the game!

Here's a rundown of what's in store for the HKO Happy Hearts event:

Special Valentine's-themed quests
Things aren't all as they should be in Sanrio Land: Cupid has gone missing, and the romance of the season is also nowhere to be found. It's up to our Founders to find him, and more importantly, help bring back the love! We'll also be giving away exclusive items to the first few to finish the quest chain, so stay tuned for details!

Improved user interface

Revamped farming system
We've taken into account your comments and suggestions in our revamp of the farming system. After a lot of brainstorming and testing, this one of the most significant changes we've made to the game, so don't miss out!

Four New Need For Speed Games In Development

Electronic Arts may be in the midst of layoffs, but that doesn't mean that they won't keep milking their existing franchises for all they've got. For example, Need for Speed, which is now looking to cover every auto racing angle possible.

Eurogamer is reporting that there are not one but four new Need for Speed titles under development by Slightly Mad Studios, EA Montreal and Black Box respectively. Need for Speed: Shift will be coming to PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP, while Need for Speed: Nitro will be on Wii and DS. Both will be arriving this fall. Finally, there's Need for Speed: World Online, which is coming to the Asian online PC market this summer before hitting the west at a later date. The last will also be handled by EA's online studio in Singapore, and looks to be in line with the free-to-play games that are popular with Asian PC gamers.

So what about the last one? According EA marketing vice president Keith Munro, it's a secret. But we do know that Black Box will be working on it.

Since the other three NFS games cover simulation, casual and online angles, Eurogamer is speculating that the fourth title will be more in the vein of classic NFS titles and Burnout, and we're inclined to agree. But still, that's a lot of Need for Speed.

"This isn't about quantity, this is about crafting different games for different audiences and their unique tastes in the driving category," said Munro. "We took a consumer-first approach and spoke with the fans about what they would like from their Need for Speed. Player feedback was consistent - create custom simulation and arcade experiences but maintain the franchises' core values of street culture, attitude and beautiful licensed cars."

So no worries, NFS fans, you're going to be busy this fall. No doubt that EA is hoping that you decide to collect all four. Between all four games, you should just about be getting the definitive Need For Speed experience, right?

Last night I've received a call from my friend Bowie (Shwarzheine [HAWI] ) that the latest installment of Tekken 6 had already arrived here in the Philippines, I was so shocked that it has already arrived but the problem is that I have a consultation from my friend regarding on some business, I haven't sleep the whole night maybe of the excitement.

Then finally I saw the machine it was a wow! the graphics have improved like my character Zafina's shoes is so pale from Tekken 6 and now so vibrant, also some moves are added on characters, some are improved, and some have new animation.

Computer news: AMD Plans 1,000-GPU Supercomputer For Games

Over 1,000 Radeon HD 4870s to be chained together to make online supercomputer, allowing games to be played using online processing power

Thanks to multi-core processors, GPGPU computing and innovations such as the Cell architecture and Creative’s Zii processor, parallel computing is starting to become much more mainstream. In fact, AMD now reckons that it can use over 1,000 Radeon HD 4870 GPUs to create a supercomputer capable of processing one petaflop. Not only that, but the power of the supercomputer will be available as an online powerhorse for everyone from gamers to 3D animators.

AMD’s president, Dirk Meyer, revealed the plans for the supercomputer, called the Fusion Render Cloud, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The colossal machine will be powered by AMD Phenom II processors and 790 motherboard chipsets, along with over 1,000 Radeon HD 4870 GPUs.

The company claims that one purpose of the system is to ‘deliver video games, PC applications and other graphically-intensive applications through the Internet “cloud” to virtually any type of mobile device with a web browser.’ The idea is that the Fusion Render Cloud will do all the hard work, so all you need is a machine capable of playing back the results, saving battery life and the need for ever greater processing power.

AMD also says that the Fusion Render Cloud will ‘enable remote real-time rendering of film and visual effects graphics on an unprecedented scale.’ Meanwhile, game developers would be able to use the supercomputer to quickly develop games, and also ‘serve up virtual world games with unlimited photo-realistic detail.’

The supercomputer will be powered by OTOY’s software, which allows you to render 3D visuals in your browser via streaming, compressed online data. Meyer said that the supercomputer ‘is being designed to break the one petaFLOPS barrier, and to process a million compute threads across more than 1,000 graphics processors.’

According to Meyer, it will be ‘the fastest graphics supercomputer ever,’ and AMD plans to have it up and running before the second half of this year. Meyer revealed a number of interested parties during his speech, including people from Lucasfilm, EA, HP and Dell, who joined him on stage.

Gaming News: 2009's Dark Horse Console Launch - The Story Behind Zeebo

No consoles are launching in 2009, right? Not so. Brazilian manufacturer Tectoy, most notable outside of South America for its long partnership with Sega and official distribution of its consoles in Brazil, will be releasing an entirely original product called Zeebo.

Centered around downloadable games distributed only over a 3G wireless network, the console is designed for emerging markets, and has high-profile partners and games including Electronic Arts's FIFA, Id Software's Quake, and Namco Bandai's Tekken.

It will save its small, standard definition titles, many of which will initially be BREW mobile game ports, to the system's internal flash memory. This is intended to sidestep the issues of piracy, home internet availability, and retail distribution of game titles.

The company is 57 percent owned by Tectoy and 43 percent owned by mobile tech company and BREW creator Qualcomm. As well as the above-mentioned larger companies who will release games for the console, Zeebo is hoping to attract independent developers as well.

English info on the console is exceptionally rare so far, with no launch yet slated for North America. But there is opportunity here; the firm feels there's potential for a repeat of the indie-led App Store boom Apple is currently seeing with iPhone.

Gamasutra recently had a chance to talk to Zeebo Inc. CEO John Rizzo, who heads up the operations in North America, as follows:

What's the market for the console?

JR: For the moment, our focus is Brazil first, and then Mexico. Then, selected parts of the rest of Latin America. Then a year from now, likely China and/or India. Those are a little bit harder to figure out, because the content in China and India is likely to be very different from content in Brazil. So we need some time to figure out what the content needs to be.

We work with developers in the local countries; I could imagine a Bollywood dance game with a dance pad. That would be fantastic in India, much more sale-able than Prey. Or in China, a game that teaches English as a second language would be really cool and powerful for that market.

It takes a little longer -- and then, of course, in China there's a ban on consoles, per se, that the seven ministries of the government need to lift -- and that's going to take probably six months to a year for that to happen.

Because our business model is one where we want to get a local partner in the country and put their name brand on it as well, that means it takes a little longer to get that all squared away. So, yes, we're going to those countries as well.

It's pretty much designed for an SD set up, right? Not high definition?

JR: In fact, it's really more designed for the cheapest, most resilient TVs you can find. [laughter]

With China especially, MMOs are king. Is it possible to play with other people across the network with Zeebo?

JR: Yeah, it is technically possible, and in fact, Ultimate Chess actually is going to be offered in two versions. It will be offered in a single-player version and a two-player version.

The two-player version is over the wireless connection. The reason that is going to be relatively easy to do, is that when you are playing chess, the only thing being transmitted is the move coordinates.

So, very low data density, you can compute how many times people are going to play chess; they're going to push it three hours a day -- or how many moves they are going to make in three hours. And you can figure out how many megabytes a day you need to buy to make that happen. Then, you simply make the price of the multiplayer game large enough to cover the cost of the data.

But the problem with an MMO game is you don't really know how much traffic there is going to be. And we have to pay for the traffic. So I think we will move into that domain, which is certainly very important, as you mentioned, in China and elsewhere, but it's probably going to be a different pricing model.

Right now, we use prepaid. It might be entirely a subscription model, and the subscription model might be constrained to a certain number of hours per day of play and anything above that, there's a super pack you can buy that jacks that up.

It seems like free to play, pay for items might be a useful model.

JR: Yes. We've got to figure all that and navigate through it. The other thing that's interesting, too, for us, is that I think that there is some percentage of people... I'm not sure if it's the majority or some large percentage, that play in the middle of the night.

And if you play in the middle of the night, with a cellular-based network, the data pipe is empty anyway during the middle of the night.

So, we might be able to work some kind of deal whereby the bandwidth we buy at 2AM is a lot cheaper than the bandwidth we buy at 10PM, in which case we could offer an MMOG that has a different pricing structure, depending on what time of the day you play.

So, you're still working on the business model.

John Rizzo: The remaining thing we're trying to figure out is the business model. Because the way it works technically, right now, is that if you fill the gigabytes in flash, and you go into the UI and say "delete", it will remove the game from flash, but it will leave a tag that says you already bought it.

Let's say six months later you decided that you wanted to download it again. The only question that we are wrestling with at the moment, which we won't solve right away, is whether or not it's free when you download it again or whether we simply charge you for the air time when you download it again because we pay for the cost of the air time -- and so that's the only question we're trying to work out.

In any event, the customer won't have to pay full price, there's no doubt about that. Whether or not they pay a buck or two to download it again is still something we're trying to figure out. and from my perspective, personally, as the CEO of Zeebo, I don't think people should pay for it again, even for the air time. Because if you fill up your Flash memory, that means you've bought 40 or 50 games.

We license the right to manufacture and sell the console in Brazil to Tectoy. So, if they do want to charge somebody to do the re-download, that's within their purview.

How is your model working so far for the publishers? Will developers be able to release stuff directly on Zeebo without going through a publisher, or rather, having Zeebo as the publisher?

JR: So, the interesting nuance of this is that all these things here [displayed on the screen], these are assets that are stored server-side. And we upload them into the console in the middle of the night, and they're cached. And these basically are like banner ads.

So if a publisher comes up with a new title, they can basically place their ad, if you will, on the stage. And the way the stage works is that every click of the paddle, the cylinder [of ads] rotates and, there's four [ads] in this case... as you move through this, so it's like this continuous thing.

So, it's a way for the publisher to directly market to the customer. Over time, as we get enough of an installed base, we might actually consider charging publishers for that access, but you could put videos here, you could put a GIF, you could put bitmaps and stuff...

I figured there would also be a clearer text-based list.

JR: Yeah, at some point, yes. Until there's a huge number of titles, we try to make it more graphically rich. But in this case there's cover art, and then you can sort by [headings such as] favorites, new, genre, and stuff. And then, this is a scroll up and down.

When you click on one you get the game description. In this case, this is just [dummy text] in, but the cover, in this case, the parental rating in Brazil, which is required by Brazilian law, and then the number of points required.

If you don't have enough points when you try to buy it, it will say, "Do you want to refill your console?" and you can do that by buying more points with a credit card, that we call a "scratch card". And then you use the joypad to key stuff in to the virtual keyboard.

In the future, we could plug the keyboard into the back, a USB keyboard, and then the publishers themselves, if they want to have a custom store, we could create a custom store that's made for them.

Can you multitask while the system downloads a game?

JR: No, the current limitation, [the system's] fully loaded, it fully occupies [the system, during] most of the downloads. But if you happen to pull the power during the middle of a download, it automatically recovers, so there's no issue with that.

And then, it's like [Amazon digital reader] Kindle. The wireless plan is built in, you don't actually subscribe to a plan, you don't know that a plan exists, the number of points effectively covers the cost of the download as well, and you end up paying for that. Everything is secure.

But to answer your question on the publishers' side... Either we've got a signed agreement in 80 percent of the cases, or a handshake agreement when we just won't do the contract now, [with] six of the top 10 publishers, and if a publisher wants to have us be the publisher, we can do that as well.

If a developer wanted to go directly to you, they could?

JR: Exactly.

I assume, starting out, it is mostly going to be mobile ports.

JR: Good question, good point. That's what we thought. [laughs] In fact, when we started the company we said, "Hey, there's lots of mobile games out there and they are easy to port, and let's do that."

What we discovered is that most of the sources we went to said, "Yeah, we can do that, but what we would rather do is take console content and port it down in Zeebo, because the gameplay experience and the graphics are richer."

So I would say in 60 to 70 percent of the cases it's more console content. If for example, you take the FIFA game from EA, that's an interesting port because a part of it was taken from mobile content. And then the voiceovers, we took from the PC.

In the case of Tekken, would that be a PlayStation port, or is that mobile?

JR: It's not a mobile port, I know that. But I don't know if it's PlayStation or some other platform.

I'm wondering how easy it is to strip down to this architecture, depending on what the time is.

JR: I'll give you a couple examples. In the case of the chess game, Ultimate Chess, it is strictly from a [Glu mobile] BREW port. That took four months. Quake, which was strictly a port from the PC, took about six months.

Some of these other games -- like Prey Evil, I think, is taking seven months, maybe. So I think the best case is three months, the worst case is like nine months. That's reasonably fast.

It's slightly longer than I thought it would be. But I don't actually know what the chipset and the SDK are like.

JR: It's just like BREW. Part of the reason for it, the length of the time here, so far, has been that we really didn't release an SDK to developers until June 1st. And the SDK that we released June 1st really didn't become completely stable and bulletproof until September 1st. So I think the titles starting today are going to be faster, I believe.

Are you encouraging original development over ports, or are you going more for name recognition?

JR: I think at the moment we have enough of the publishers and other brand name titles in the queue that, as we enter into 2009, we are going to start shifting into more originally authored, independent titles.

There is a possibility this becomes like the iPod Touch and the iPhone, where you get people that have never really developed before do so because they can reach a huge market and because the marketing cost is virtually nil. So we hope that's the case.

New study: video games are brain food for your grandparents

Even more research is being done on the various effects of video games. While some studies focus on other ill effects game may have on the players, this one's a bit positive: early data gathered from a new study suggests that certain games may have progressive effects on the elderly.

The study was conducted on some 40 adults in their 60s to 70s. Now imagine them playing Rise of Nations. Yep, the findings suggest that strategy-heavy games help keep the elderly on their toes. Or in this case, keep their thinking caps on.

The tests lasted for a month, with one group having a total of 23 hours of gaming, while the other was kept as the control group without any "game training". The grannies and grandpas who ended up in the gaming group were found to have scored higher on memory, multi-tasking, and cognitive tests administered after their training sessions.

As the researchers at the University of Illinois state, this study is still in its very early stages. However, as one Dr. Arthur Kramer says, the data they've gathered is "very promising."

He also notes that, though their research is focused on mental health, another benefit of video games for the elderly is that it build social interactions too. A quote from Dr. Kramer reads:

Playing videogames with their grandkids would also be a great idea because we know that social interactions -- along with physical exercise and intellectual challenge -- also enhance the cognitive abilities of older adults.

Graphics: 10/10. Awesome graphics especially if your using ATI pro series video cards

Sound: 10/10. The background and other details are very scary it the same with Silent Hill and Resident evil 2.

Controls: 10/10. Same standards as other FPS games.

Gameplay: The game got it, Resident Evil 2 / Silent Hill + Counter Strike all in one. The game is awesome, the excited part of the game is when the "horde" (a dozen or more zombies) will attack you or your team which you will not think other things but to shoot the hell out of their brains. Another one thing that I like on this game is this is a co op games meaning your a team esp. lan games or online game. Other thing that is very unique is the game itself, you will play the game with your team as a mission not like you shoot zombies down and that's it game done, here you must find the room to accomplished the game and move to the next level.

For those hardcore gamers out there you must try this one its a must especially you have buddies.

Trend: Older Players Will Drive New Sims, Less Fantasy

Concluding his series on the 'megatrends' of the gaming industry, veteran designer Pascal Luban (Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory) says that the aging gaming population will broaden the number of 35-and-up players in the audience, forcing publishers to adapt their products and develop games specifically for this audience.

"As slow as this evolution is, it is unavoidable," says Luban. "It will create a new category of players, or at least new needs. We do not approach gaming in the same way if we are 20, 35 or 50 years old."

The designer notes that older gamers are more interested in themes currently under-represented today, such as economic or political simulations. Titles that assign a greater importance to game-generated emotions and moral dilemmas may also be more popular with more matured players.

He adds, "It will become increasingly difficult to establish suspension of disbelief for such players. Mature gamers will have a harder time becoming immersed in less believable plots or universes."

It's possible that traditional video gaming press will choose not to cover these titles or consumers, but publishers will surely note that this market possesses greater purchasing power for impulse buying.

To satisfy this new class of player, studios might provide more games with less fantastical characters and situations. "Video game characters often possess a marked lack of believability. Yet, it is quite possible to give real depth to game characters, including those of action games," says Luban.

"Metal Gear Solid 3 is a good example of this," he continues. "The use of real screenplay writers, at least as consultants, should become a more widespread practice. Let us not forget that a professional screenplay writer also knows how to write good dialogue, an important component in the final quality of the work."

Publishers may look to political and economic simulators, according to the designer. "It's an extraordinarily rich domain: such games could conceivably feature a direct link with current events, thus giving them an extended lifespan."

Hybrid products, such as garden simulators or half-training, half-gaming products should also be expected -- Majesco's expanding Mama line (Cooking Mama and now Gardening Mama),f or example.

Luban also believes that publishers will focus more titles that allow several generations to play together. Conversely, he predicts that companies will release more adult games, commenting, "We all know the financial weight of the sex and pornography market. Games will be its new vector of development. We are starting to see erotic MMOs, and we can also expect to see half-game, half-socializing website hybrid products."

Finally I saw the only mmo game developed by the Filipinos.
I was so happy because the developer of this was there and asked what programming language did they used of course C++ prevail again.

There is some cons though but hey this is the 1st game developed by a dozen of people compared to others of what 50 to a hundred.

Hope to see more games developed by my countrymen and of course me also by next year I will pursue and restructuring my game developing projects.

PSP-4000 due for release in 2009

Sony plans to refresh the PlayStation Portable product line with a PSP-4000 model in late 2009 and launch a true successor at a later date.

Publishing sources, speaking to our sister site Eurogamer.net, were unable to provide any further detail on next year's update, which will presumably follow this year's PSP-3000 in taking an iterative approach.

The PSP-3000 launched this October and followed a 2000-series model, the first Slim & Lite, in September 2007.

Even fewer details were available on the PSP successor, but we're told that developers are already working on games.

Sony UK said today that it would not comment on rumour and speculation.

PSP-3000 bundles currently retail for GBP 129.99 the UK following its October launch, and despite sporadic software support and fewer platform-exclusives than Nintendo's DS, strong sales in Japan have propelled it to sales of over 30 million according to Sony's corporate sales website.

Sega Rally 3 arrived in the Philippines!

Sega Rally 3 is the long awaited arcade sequel to Sega Rally 2, developed and released by Sega.

The cabinet includes a 62" High Definition DLP monitor and a dual actuator motion simulation system which moves the players seat in direct response to the on screen action.

Up to six cabinets can be linked for multiplayer racing.

Modes of Play

Championship

The single-player Championship mode pits players against the clock, the track and 21 other racers to win the rally. The rally takes place across three stages, and you need to complete two laps of each by reaching each checkpoint within the time limit.

Quick Race

The Quick Race mode allows you to pick from the three main courses and compete in a single six car race, and supports one to six players.

Classic

Classic mode returns to the history of the series, featuring a remake of the 1995 Desert course from the original Sega Rally Championship as well as a remix of the original music. The mode lets you choose from the cars from the original game - the Toyota Celica ST205 and the Lancia Delta HF integrale. In single player mode it’s you against one aggressive AI racer, which is in the car you didn’t pick. Multiplayer opens the field for up to six racers to battle.

We played this game in Makati yesterday and the 1st thing you will notice is the cabinet, the screen dlp monitors as posted in wikipedia but there is no motion simulation system on the seat just a bucket seat,

the other one is the steering wheel, it become smaller as you where playing ridge racer, the other one is the shifter they used the sequential configuration but a very obvious of these is the shifter was used in Initial D version's 1 to 3

other than that the game itself is a complete wow!! the graphics and also the physic of the cars itself, in the previous Sega Rally you can finished the game by just turning the steering wheel in full motion and full force to the point that you're wrecking the steering wheel and the gear is steady in 3rd gear, in this game you can't do those things anymore you will now balanced the acceleration of the when turning even in easy turns, also all the cars are in 6 gears except for the toyota celica and Lancia Integrale which are 5 gears.

Midway Faces Possible Bankruptcy, Enlists Lazard

Embattled publisher Midway Games has admitted that it is in danger of defaulting on $240 million in debt, and has hired investment adviser Lazard Ltd. to evaluate "strategic and financial alternatives."

Midway's troubles have steadily mounted in recent months. Majority shareholder Sumner Redstone just sold his 87 percent stake in the company to private investor Mark Thomas for just $100,000 and the assumption of $70 million in debt. Redstone's move followed a series of layoffs across the company's studios and, still more recently, a delisting warning from the New York Stock Exchange.

As reported by the Chicago Tribune, a Securities and Exchange Commission filing indicates that the change in ownership now allows bondholders to request that Midway repurchase any and all bonds in full.

Midway expects all of its bondowners to request a buyout, which will cost the company $150 million that it does not have. If Midway fails to repurchase the bonds, it compounds a $90 million loan agreement with Redstone’s National Amusements company and increases total debt to $240 million.

A report in Hollywood trade paper Variety goes further in suggesting that Midway can now survive for only 50 days, unless it can come up with the $150 million figure. The report claims that the company has only $10.3 million in cash reserves and that bankruptcy is now a real possibility.

I know some of you knows this game and also the genre, but for me its my 1st time "again" for the pc, since I played a doujin game in Playstation before (Samurai X), and I thought that this genre will be released only in console platform since this is a Japanese, but I was wrong, because the strong influence of western games, chinese, and koreans (mmog) I forgot that there is different games released from different platform, and from different country.

Graphics: Definitely very cute! characters.

Sound: No problem with the sounds.

Controls: I find no problem with the controls, if your playing street fighter titles, comics or video game crossover title, or snk title games you'll find the controls ease to configure.

Gameplay: Similar to Puzzle Fighter released in Playstation and the Arcade, I like when they're doing special move they're changing costume from different anime titles.

You can also add characters from different games, anime, and others.

A must have for Hardcore gamers, Enthusiast, Otaku, and Hobbyist.

Game Testing: Need For Speed Undercover (my story and the game.

I went yesterday on my source to update myself for new released games (PS2, Wii, and Xbox) and also to find some titles that I would like to make a review (so I found a Rumble Roses lol!!). At the time that I was giving my money to the seller (btw she's cute lol!!) she told me that their new game will be arriving soon (about 15 minutes
by that tiime), so I asked her what's the title and she told me that is "Undercover" (You mean NFS undercover).

Game

I like the intro of the game and the main FMV Maggie Q what can you say its like a Mission Impossible movie.

Graphics

From my point of view the game's graphic is improved compared from the previous titles but there is one thing that I find it wierd, shall I say 'bugged', or whatever you called it. At the countdown of the race you will notice that the game seems very slow especially when you revved your car,it's like the processor of the
PlayStation 2 cannot cope with it but when the race starts already it will go back to normal.

Controls

They are fine for some gamers but for me its quite complicated but not very complicated, the change of view of the car which you will press the R3 or an alternative is to pause the game and then select the option from panel from there you can select your camera view then you can return from the game itself, the steering also you will used the L3 because the analog one has its different function like
when you press the right direction from the controller a panel which the sms messages that Maggies Q sends you will appear, left direction is the world map, up for engage event which is very useful at the free roam mode (when you see a green mist with a track symbol above it, it means you can enter on that event) and down direction
for start pursuit. Some gamers will experience this kind of problem but for sometime they will get to used to it.

Sounds

I have nothing to say about the sounds, all I can say they're fine. We used a customize home theater system (10:2) and a Senheisser HD series for the earphones and the tracks are great.

Physic

The physic of the game has a little improvement but still the same.

Overall

Its not bad game after all for those people who owned a shop, its a buy because of the new features added stuff in the game maybe some of your will be interested to pursue it as a career lol!!, For those gamers who owned PS2 its a must have this 2008. This game was released in different platform so you can expect different opinion, the platform that we've used is a PlayStation 2 since here in our country more gamers owned PS2 compared to other platform especially consoles. In the future we will test this game from other platform.

Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World.

The latest release of the Dragon Ball franchise in PS2 and the last also because the next title will be on PS3.

There nothing new on the game itself, some are still the same of Budokai 3 and AF (Budokai 3 mod though.) but the difference are graphic interface, and combos/controls/moves, compared to the 2 titles that I've mentioned.

Graphic Interface.

The game has some new gui, for example the lifebar of the game which you will see upper left or right of your character has a different design compared to the previous
title, they redesigned the power bar that indicates the usage of your power. The panel of the game (selection of the game like option, duel, and game mission) is also
redesigned, the selection of the stage also has a new design before a giant snake panel and a monkey that out of nowhere will appear on the stage selection but on this game you will not see them, you will just select the stage that you will be playing.

Combos/Controls/Moves.

The controls of the game is different, for example when you press the R1 button it will execute a "rush" to the character compared to the previous one a "smash" that what I called, then there is some new moves on this game like the new grab when you press the x and circle button it will execute an new move (the character will grab you and then the he will throw some fireballs), when press the R1 and either punch, kick, or fireball it will combined the moves with the rush, and combos in this game I find it good to execute a combo to chain combos or "Infinite" because in the previous game is quite hard to execute a combo or chain combo compares to this game

All in all.

Well its a good game when we tested the game the score is 7-8 because it is quite balance and also the title itself never failed the gamers, in business perspective it will be a buy for the owners because some of the customer are very familiar with the title especially those who are kids and teens where dragon ball was a big hit!, of course some individuals who likes fighting.

In the coming article we will cover this game from the missions to other chain link combos of each characters.

The Golden Compass: Not bad but there is a sequel.

My brother and I went to the mall and watched this movie, at first I thought this will be a Chronicles of Narnia Rip-Off but it is not because I did some research and I found out that this was bases on a book with a controversial issues especially on a religious side.

I like the fighting scene of the 2 bears for the position of a king I like the creatures involved witches and faeries, also the battle scene that needs more armies on it.

In fairnes not bad for the movie but compared to LOTR (Lord of the ring) maybe the movie will come third.

I miss the game and tried it yesterday...

Yesterday I saw some of my friends playing magic the gathering card game, and I said to myself damn I was playing this stuff back in hs, whew damn miss this game but this where the part that I brought the card yesterday, one of my friend was so into it he was bragging thst his deck was so strong and he was inviting me ot go to their place where they are playing the game, so I brought yesterday then when we in our classroom he was asking for my deck I was laughing inside of my head when he saw the disintegrate cos in his self that this card was the ultimate on his deck "yeah right like 5 bucks when I purchase this card", I observed him because he become scared he was making excuses that his deck is weak stuff like that "yeah right uhhmm this is only a game and I'm playing this game for so long.. geesh!! men", ok where at their place he was looking for his friend that has strong deck and I said to him "come on this is only a game dude " Oh I forgot in the classroom he was telling me that the reason that he was hooked up into this game was to be "in" he was like a poser dude, so there it was we are on the table I observed him that he so nervous that he draw 1st before untap the land "wait there is a rule in the game that untap, upkeep, draw, main phase, discard.." men he was so true he is a poser... ha ha ha ha ha ha ha so there it was he lost for 2 and the next one is his friend and everyone there was asking what deck he will used and he said the ultimate deck, wow the ultimate yeah right men my next opponent is so irritating like he was the king of that place ok so he was the king there, so I've got 2 loss and 1 win no big deal I'm just using my fun deck.. well I like the artifact that he was using perfect combination for my landde (land destruction)deck, nah I don't care what happened there just I've met new friends..

Game Testing was a happy experience

Last sunday I went on a computer game company here in our place cos I will test 3 games, as I am facing the front of the laptop the management explain briefly about the game gave some papers to evaluate at first glance of the game then the favorite part "test" the game the game I've tested was a rpg based well not another rpg games which usually you can see in public cafes everyday even my computer cafe is still operational I gave the game too common or 3 cos well too common a not another rpg game which to be released on the market!! all the same.

The second one is a racing game from china I give 5 cos its a challenging game and also there is room for improvement also my friend told me that the source code was leaked so it is favored for programmer junkies like me meaning I can modified the whole game or part of the game like adding this or that stuff like that.

The third is a racing game also but this time it is known character, give you a hint this was shown on disney channel long time ago, it was a girl must have cos it was printed on your bags or slippers well in short a known character that's it, the controls of the game itself is great but the downside of this one is its too girl for me, overall it very good...

It was happy day for cos games that you play makes sense also some tester on that company like it also cos they feel someone appreciate on what they are doing or playing.

Wangan Maxi Tune: Mitsubishi GTO 820 maxed out. NISMO and . . . . . development in wangan maxi tune development will be discontinued

Today the Projects; NISMO and dot5 (. . . . . ) officially will be discontinued the development for the reason the Mitsubishi GTO had reached its target to achieve the 820 hp on maxi tune 3. If you see me playing the following games like initial d version 4 and Wangan maxi tune I'm just playing some game, but the karir nope, maybe I was there just waiting for the airtime of the movies stuff like that.

I'd like to thank my friends in the community for the friendship you've gave to me I will never forget maybe in other genre we will meet again. I will not the gaming world but I will move to another level that is game developing, I want to create my own game.

Just to achieve the hp of my car I shelled out a large amount of cash from kihtmaine business blog. Well next month it is business as usual cos kihtmaine will be focusing on some agribusiness, e-commerce, and game developing projects and also I will return to the IRL od in real life.

I will never forget this day and the 4 years that I've played those games.

As I am typing this log I am listening to some last track of the Official soundtrack of wangan maxi tune 2; another dimension, blue blazes, last utopia, and Holy land anthem.

Well I will missed them all.
So many memories....
but I must move on :)

Rush Hour 3 a movie to watch

Tonight I went to Greenbelt with my brother to watched a movie and the movie was Rush Hour 3 starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, the previous movies was a success hit and since this is the new release I was bit worried because maybe this one would never be a hit after all, but I was wrong every scene in the movie was very hilarious the content of the movie never fade very funny.

Ooh btw I saw the trailer of the
Highlander The Source.

and Walt Disney's National Treasure Book of Secret

Before I watched the movie I played a couple of game in tekken 5.1 DR (Dark Ressurection)

Wangan Maxi Tune: Mitsubishi Evo VIII 820 hp max out.

Again I have no classes in school, and Im bored at our house I decided to go to SM megamall just to unwind for a while and to play maxi tune 3 in Wof or Worlds Of Fun cos of cheap tokens. So there it is I am there already I've purchased 20 tokens plus bonus of 6 and start playing, well I've observed that the handling of evo viii is quite better compare to my r32 which is slippery, I've received a carbon bonnet black watanabe 8 spoke wheels and a stage 1 aero parts. Also the hakone stage is new.

Saw this on the news the Bureau of food and drugs here in the Philippines are in pursuit of unbranded toys that are made in china, these are for babies chewy stuff, toys that they put in their mouth, because of the content of lead, cadmium, and other chemical substance that is very harmful to babies.

He he he he he he how about those toys in divisoria they are unbranded ones.

My collection of hotwheels: 2005

Since 1980's I've been collecting this kinds of toys die-cast metal toys that is, My first hotwheel was Porsche 996 when my cousin gave me at the airport when they arrived from San Francisco, I was amazed that they where also other brands besides matchbox so I've put it on my toy section at our house at those time.

I've interested again when we are so hooked up in cars the real thing you know B16 or B18 engine, spoon pistons stuff like that but at those time I opened those toys until when I've watched the movie 40 year old virgin that I become a not so solid hobbyist I never opened a single die cast toys again upon purchasing.

Mattel recalled their toys regarding the quality from china.

Earlier when I channel the tv to bloomberg i saw the CEO of Mattel which they owned Hotwheels, Barbie, and other toys they are discussing recalling a million plus toys!! what!! that's many!! since that I channel and they are discussing already I did not hear what toys that are recalled of course I was nervous because I collect Hotwheels since 2005 (as a hobbyist but hotwheel toys that are opened since 1980's)

Then I received an email newsletter from BBC news, there is also a topic regarding the recall of mattel and thank God that Howheels is not included.

Yep its true Wangan Maximum Tune 3 is already availble in Worlds Of Fun in SM megamall.
3 token to start and 2 to continue, that's very cheap compared to Timezone and Q powerstation.

Initial D version 4 development: Project NISMO, GT, ZERO, . . . . ., and W84ME will not continue.

Today I have no classes due to the bad weather, I've wake up late today because of cold ambience.
Well nothing much in the morning and in the afternoon I went to a payment center and pay some bills in our house after that I am thinking going to SM megamall to cleared up my old token in Worlds of Fun and to see whether there is a Initial version 4. So its true there is a version 4 but no wangan maximum tune 3 sheesh anyway I've played the game nothing much just the looseness of the game, also my old friend JHON9 former member of TOFU was there and have a little chat and the nuisance G the stupid moron was there also.

In terms of price of the game the World of fun will win compare to Timezone.
Worlds of fun - 3 tokens that's 18 pesos.
Timezone - 27 pesos.

After I finished the game the Initial D version 4 development will officially closing down.
And the development will focused in comics, in real life cars, and game developing.

Initial D Version 4 and Transferring of NISMO R32 and ANGEL (clone) R32 in Wangan Maximum Tune 3
before retiring from video game kariir.

Sunday last week Initial D arcade stage 4 was officially released here in the Philippines Manila and Metro Manila area of course as a Initial D fanatic I was glad that they came already.

Monday last week I've planned to go to TIMEZONE SM megamall branch cos in that place was available that time.

I saw the it was different from the previous version it become larger compared to the previous one I mean the cab right. So I've purchased a load worth 15 hundred pesos, So when I've seated on the machine the format of the cockpit was different, The platform was same as the machines in battle gear games.

So the game started I've selecting a car accidentally I've chose Miata accidentally so I've finished the game using the Miata and swiped again but this time I am selecting the Mitsubishi Evo IX which new to the game, color yellow and the I've shifted my name . . . . . to ZERO for unifomity. So first I've chosed Myogi and waiting for the loading time to finished, Well this is it when the GO sign disappear O am on the go I've noticed that in the you cannot overrev the car well that's the new thing in the game but the next shift is quite laggy as if you have misconfigured the gear ratio of the car, (I like the close gear ratio for this stage) ah the first corner is coming in I'm in to it and oh my new physuc of the game kinda loosey for the game but the left foot breaking is working on evo IX, so I've finished the myogi stage next stage akina lake kinda myogi this time around so I played the stage and I've topped the Evo IX at 200 kms per hour that's sweet on a N tune car so I've finished the game already time to go home.

While at home I am thinking of retiring on playing initial d arcade I've purchased the card for sovenir and also retiring in Wangan Maximum Tune also (which I don't play anymore)I will just transfer my some of my card in version 3 and focusing on my agribusiness and game developing.

I've finally transfered my 2 R32's NISMO and the ANGEL clone all are in 820 horsepower.
The NISMO is B9 and the ANGEL is in B6.
I've played the version 3 yesterday at Timezone gateway.
The game is more refined and the physique is improved compared to previous version.
Using a NVIDIA GPU stuff used in pc's
Also the killing BGM a must have!!

All this game that I've mentioned have similarity they included some bodykits decals just like your in NFS or Need For Speed.

My next mission before I retire my GTO will reach 820 hp in Wangan Maxitune 3.
